Here at Gutter Helmet^® by Harry Helmet™, every employee is considered part of the family. Our employees are the backbone of the company, and without their hard work and dedication we would not be where we are today. Many have been with the company for over 10 years, and when you work with folks for that long, day in and day out, they become, well like family.

With staff dispersed across the country, we have found that strong communication channels and recognition of top performing employees are two of the most important factors in running a successful and seamless network of offices. In an effort to more diligently reward employees for their incredible work, we will recognize one employee each quarter. For Q1 2014, Rachel Schumacher has been carefully selected by our leadership as being an outstanding employee whose efforts far surpass her day to day responsibilities. Let’s congratulate Rachel and please read about her story below:

Rachel joined Gutter Helmet by Harry Helmet in 2012 on a part time basis in our Bensalem, PA office and was immediately instrumental in assisting existing staff with our service response to customers affected by Superstorm Sandy. In 2013 Rachel went from being part time to full time and took over the lead on all customer service interactions dealing with not only Gutter Helmet, but also roofing and awnings.

Rachel has the rare ability to turn any customer situation into a positive experience and she has demonstrated this on multiple occasions in the first quarter of 2014. In one instance this past winter, we had a customer communicate that he had nothing but high praises for the way Rachel handled his unique situation and even went as far as saying that “he would like to marry her”. No joke! Not only does Rachel strive for excellence with our Gutter Helmet customers by providing them an effortless and enjoyable service experience, but she is an absolute pleasure to work with internally and is a model team player.

Rachel lives in Philadelphia, PA where she has two children and when she’s not working hard at Gutter Helmet, she can be found cheering on her kids either on the baseball field or in a dance studio. She is an avid Eagles and Philadelphia sports fan and a fun fact about Rachel is that she was previously a professional baker. Needless to say she’s multi-talented!
